First, it is highly likely that the church in America, by and large, is now fully "Laodicean." This is the direction history has been moving for a hundred years or so. When we don't do things God's ways, God just picks up and leaves. A holy God can not dwell in the midst of a sinful people.
A 'market driven' church is a Laodicean church, a 'do it yourself' church is a Laodicean church, 'unity at the expense of truth' is a Laodicean church, a 'compromising' church is a Laodicean church, a so called 'Purpose Driven' church is a Laodicean church. All of these are a picture of the church in America today. The third wave has been a tidal wave leaving scattered pockets of true believes who will not compromise and seeming to warn with few to hear. Can identify a great deal with Paul who wrote:
"For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things." Phillipians 3:18-19
The church in America patterns itself after the world, the entire third wave emerging church of today has fully established itself as the false bride moving closer to that union with Rome. I often find myself in tears before the Lord to see it all even though scripture says this will happen, but still blows me away to the point of being dysfunctional to see the whole thing and how people are so deceived and blinded to the point of going with the flow that leads to Rome like driftwood or zombies taken in by every fad and tossed every which way, viewing the watchmen as the mavericks when good seems evil and evil seems good or something to tolerate and keep silent about in not seeing what scripture warns of in being the very last things to be going on before He calls for His bride and leaving the false bride to experience His wrath.
It has been devastating when the whole ugly scene comes into clear view and start to feel like Elijah felt in a cave thinking he was the only one left who had not bowed to Baal in being surrounded by those who sold out.
God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace." Romans 11: 2-5
Baal worship today is the worship of man and unbiblical worship where God is not worshipped in spirit and in truth.
The false bride will worship that man of sin in believing him to be the messiah, when the women rides the beast that marriage will be complete, Laodicea will be fully matured, most of the church in America has already sold out and don't even know it. The transformation from Philadelphia to Laodicea happened because of compromise little by little. They don't even hide their shame of perverting the things of God because people have been fully conditioned to accept perverted doctrine and perverted teachers. Love for the truth is not something to pursue anymore to help us come to the knowledge of the truth which is the God's Word.
"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63
"Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life." John 6:68
God's Word has been so twisted and abused that people have not seen how a twisted version of God's Word is used to make war on God's Word and the few who continue to worship in spirit and in truth, are the small minority. The goats far outnumber the sheep today, many who once made up Philadelphia have been transformed into Laodicea with only remnants remaining who have not been taken in by the deception to begin uplifting man to the level of super saints and gods and bringing God to the level of man to conform to the programs and fads of man.
There are no words to express how very serious it all is and why Jesus warns the church of Philadelphia in Revelation 3:11, "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."
